DESCRIPTION: Mannitol Yolk Polymyxin(MYP) Agar Base
APPLICATlON: Used for the enumeration and selective cultivation of Bacillus cereus.

| APPLICATION | Used for the enumeration and selective cultivation of Bacillus cereus. | |
| PREPARATION | 1. Weigh 29.3 g of the medium and add 1 L of distilled or deionized water. Stir and heat until boiling to ensure complete dissolution. | |
| 2.Dispense the solution into test tubes and autoclave at 121°C for 15 minutes. | ||
| 3. Before use, if the pink coloration exceeds one-third of the medium height, heat the medium in a water bath until it becomes colorless. Cool to below 45°C and immediately inoculate with the sample.If the entire tube turns pink, the medium should not be used. | ||

| 3. After use, all contaminated materials must be sterilized or disposed by appropriate procedures. | ||
